Bio

Alejandra’s passion is to empower, elevate, and inspire others to accomplish great things.

But that doesn’t mean her work is all fluff and no substance.

Alejandra is a proven leader, creative problem solver, and systems thinker. She has experience as a Naval officer, engineer, and lawyer and has degrees from the Naval Academy, MIT, and Harvard. Alejandra brings the rigorous problem solving and leadership skills honed from all these experiences to everything she does.

Alejandra enjoys tackling challenges at the intersection of technology, organizational leadership, and society — so trustworthy tech is a sweet spot. She is currently VP of Ethical Innovation & Privacy at a global pharmaceutical company, where she builds solutions that enable teams to develop trustworthy tech products. Prior to that, she led a think tank at Meta focused on privacy enhancing technologies, digital identity, and XR. She also developed responsible AI products and services at QuantumBlack (AI by McKinsey) and helped launch the firm's inaugural open source project.

Alejandra writes and speaks publicly about leadership in tech and advises startups. She also volunteers her time mentoring women and transitioning military veterans. In her spare time, Alejandra loves to paint, invent silly songs, debate the meaning of life, and play with dogs.
